Positively Blackford aims to publish news about the people, programs and policies that are contributing to the well-being, culture, and economic development of the community.
This is a curated website. Its goals are to:
- Report on all efforts to enhance the quality of life in Blackford County related, but not confined to: education, health and well-being, business and economic development, municipal and county government
- Be a catalyst for interaction and collaboration between individuals, organizations, and the private and public sectors
- Foster leadership in those seeking to better the community

Publication Guidelines
Stories approved for publication will be paid according to the following scale:
$25 for 250-500 words
$35 for 500-750 words
$50 for 750 or more words*
*submit copy in Microsoft Word or pdf formats
$5 for digital images that are approved for publication*
*Please send photos separately; do not embed images in copy
Preference is given images that are of subjects or places directly related to content

Positively Blackford does NOT:
- Publish verbatim press releases
- Publish stories that exceed the boundary of Blackford County (Exception: An action or event outside Blackford County involving a resident(s) that has the potential to positively affect the quality of life of the local community)
