Fans in Hartford City can warm up for the 2020 Super Bowl by gathering family and friends around their TV’s on January 30 for the live airing of Now Entering Hartford City, by WIPB-TV, Indiana Public Broadcasting’s affiliate at Ball State University.
A crew from WIPB was in Hartford City at the courthouse all day Saturday, November 2 for more than 20 on-camera interviews with local residents.
Billed as a “video scrapbook of the people, places, and history as seen through the eyes of residents,” Now Entering was launched in 2016 to feature small towns in the WIPB viewing region.
“The enthusiasm of Hartford City residents for this has been amazing,” said Paul Brown, producer/director for this installment of Now Entering. “We had many more people volunteer to tell stories than we have slots available for the show, and that’s not always been the case.”
Now Entering Hartford City will feature interviews with local citizens on everything from civic organizations to local celebrities, from historical landmarks to community development initiatives.
The interviews will incorporate edited video footage and still photography, including material from the Blackford County Historical Society archives.
Mark your calendars for January 30, 2020 and by the time the credits roll you will be inspired to respond to the prompt that every interviewee was given: “I thing I love most about Hartford City is…”
